How to deal with dogs & mosquitoes.? - nebraska flooding

I live in Nebraska and we have many mosquitoes because many flood really happened. Today, my dogs were eaten by mosquitoes, but do not know what to do to prevent mosquitoes out too. I can not anything I would be bad for dogs. Ideas?

PS We will meet on Monday to call the vet, but I wonder what to do tomorrow.
