How much would architect design fees be for a 3br/3ba off-grid home in rural Central California? - architect design

My husband and I are planning to build a second home in the very long term. This house is very likely to go when we retire. We must do this in stages, for financial reasons. We want to buy a large piece of land, and with a well-planned, mostly-at-home network is fully developed simple but pleasant and not too large (1800sf - 2400sf). We look forward to making a prefabricated house, but depending on the area, he may need a new design. I have no idea what would be the architect's fee. Thank you for comment.

$ 2,000 to $ 10,000. The largest number of architect with the day to day construction involved. No architect of prefabricated modular construction. They are cool, too. /

Hello Ruby, I am a designer of homes in Northern California (Lodi). Currently, the fee for me and my colleagues in this area is usually $ 2.00-3.00 per foot. The price varies according to General-in window, depending on whether a floor or two floors, or the extent to which their property is steep and needs to build the house on several levels of planning. If the house does not comply with building codes, the structure is unconventional, and should be reviewed by a licensed engineer or architect. Engineering fees may vary according to the engineer. An engineer I costs about $ 0.75 per foot, and other costs of $ 2.00 per foot. If you have questions or wish to discuss, please contact me at stuck_in_lodi2008@yahoo.com.
